Could you please make a detailed video on how you made this? It would help so much if you could! I have been looking into buying stays like this for this exact purpose, for wearing it instead of of a bra but under normal clothes! I just graduated college, and I decided for my Honors Project I wanted to handsew an eighteenth century dress. I bought a historical pair of 18 th century stays for it and it was so COMFORTABLE. I want to wear them every day but it would show under my modern clothes! So I've been thinking about these as a possible alternative!

I also like to alter things and make new ones out of them.

I love these SO much. I lived through the 70s and would have definitely worn these! I would today too. I'd seen this video before, but revisited it today and I'm so glad I did. I recently made a pair of bell bottoms by inserting fabric triangles on the outside. Mine had flowers with pink, cream, purple and teal colours in them. They look great, but then I was trying to figure out what top I can wear with them. Everything seems to clash and I was feeling like I'd be limited to a plain colour top. Then I watched the beautiful blouse you wore with yours and realised it doesn't matter if the fabric in the bell bottoms doesn't match your top. You're such a free spirit, keep creating - I love your style, and your videos. :)
